Privacy & Cookie Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit tomasmeneses.pt, how it is used, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

This website is run by Tomás Meneses, personal trainer in Lisbon and Alenquer (Portugal). For any question about your personal data, or to exercise your rights, you can contact me on WhatsApp at +351 916 108 281.

What data I collect

I only collect the minimum needed to reply to you and improve the site:

  • Data you voluntarily share in the form (name and, optionally, language, area of interest, experience, height and weight). It is only used to prepare your assessment.
  • Aggregated browsing data (page views, traffic sources, device type and approximate location) collected by Google Analytics — only if you accept cookies (see "Cookies and Google Analytics").

Contact form and WhatsApp

The site form does not store your data on any server. When you submit it, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message containing the details you entered, which are only sent once you press send inside WhatsApp.

From there, the conversation takes place on WhatsApp and is handled under the WhatsApp (Meta) privacy policy. I use that data only to reply to you and organise your coaching.

Cookies and Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (page views, traffic sources, device type) so I can improve it.

Google Analytics is only enabled after you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. Until then, and if you click "Reject", no analytics cookies are set and no identifier is created to link you across visits (I use Google Consent Mode v2, with consent denied by default).

You can change your mind at any time: use the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer to reopen the notice and make a new choice.

Who I share data with

I do not sell or rent your data. I only rely on providers that help operate the site and our communication:

  • Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics (usage statistics, subject to your consent).
  • Meta Platforms — WhatsApp, when you choose to message me there.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — site hosting; technical server logs may contain your IP address for security and operational reasons.

How long I keep data

WhatsApp messages are kept for as long as your coaching or interest in the service lasts, and are deleted on request. Google Analytics statistics are kept in aggregate for the period set on the account (up to 14 months).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data I hold about you;
  • Ask for incorrect or outdated data to be corrected;
  • Ask for your data to be deleted ("right to be forgotten");
  • Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time;
  • Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.

Changes to this policy
